The ULYSSES Ensemble, created by the ULYSSES Network, an ephemeral chamber ensemble, will tour the five* major European summer contemporary music events. Thirty young European artists ages 18 to 30 have been selected especially for the occasion. Like the orchestras in other large summer academies and festivals, this ensemble will have the opportunity to work with leading conductors and performers. Workshops and master classes follow one after the other at IRCAM’s ManiFeste festival (to work on key pieces of the repertoire with electronics under the baton of Beat Furrer) and at the Fondation Royaumont.
*2018 Five Stops are: IDEA–International Divertimento Ensemble Academy, Fondation Royaumont, ManiFeste, Gaudeamus, IEMA.
