Head of Inria Centre Saclay Île-de-France
Bertrand Braunschweig started his career in the oil industry as a researcher in the fields of systems dynamics and artificial intelligence. He then joined IFP Energies nouvelles to lead the research in AI and co-ordinate international projects on interoperability standards. He stayed five years at ANR as the manager of the STIC Department and joined Inria to manage the Centre Rennes-Bretagne Atlantique. He has been head of the Centre Inria Saclay Île-de-France since January 2016. In 2016 he co-ordinated the preparation of the white book by Inria on AI. At the beginning of 2017 he chaired the work group « Industrialisation des résultats de la recherche par les entreprises de #France IA ». He is an ENSIIE engineer, has a PhD from université Paris-Dauphine and has an accreditation to direct research given by Université Paris-VI.
