Sociologist, Head of Medialab, Sciences Po
Dominique Cardon (b. 1965), is a professor of sociology at Sciences Po where he also leads Medialab. His work focuses on the uses of the internet and the changes in public digital space. His most recent research focuses on the various social networks of the internet, online identity, amateur self-production and he analyses new kinds of solidarity and governance within the big online communities. He is currently carrying out a sociological analysis of the algorithms that enable to orgnanize information on the Web.
