Research Director at EnsAD
Holder of a Phd in information and communication sciences, Emmanuel Mahé is a specialist in the growing usage of information and communications technologies especially in the field of exploratory design and digital arts. After working eight years in the R&D departement of Orange Labs, he joined the head of the Groupe France Télécom Orange in 2009 to lead the innovation programmes for museums (Louvre, Palais de Tokyo, Château de Versailles, etc...).
He was appointed Research Director at EnsAD (École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris) in 2012. He is co-director of the PhD Programme and the Sciences Arts Création et Recherche lab at PSL Research University. He is a member of the Scientific Councils of Labex Industries culturelles et création artistique (Paris-13) and Arts H2H (Paris-8). Since October 2015 he has been Vice-Dean for training at PSL Research University Paris.
Emmanuel Mahé publishes scientific papers and teaches at different universities: Rennes-2, Paris-8 and Paris-13. He is also involved with the LABS (Leonardo Programme of the Boston MIT, The International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technologies). He is often invited as a guest lecturer at conferences and cultural institutions: IRCAM, Palais de Tokyo, IMÉRA (Institut méditerranéen d'études avancées) in Marseille, Le Fresnoy in Tourcoing, Medialab in Madrid, Dashanzi in Beijing, Québec University in Montréal, IMAL (interactive Media Art Laboratory) in Brussels...
