Joachim Montessuis

Artist and poet

Joachim Montessuis is a french artist and poet living in Paris. Since the early 90’s he has developped an experimental and contextual practice mainly around voice, drone, noise, sound and resonance and has shown his work in many festivals around the world. His current work is directed towards experimental metaphysical art and reality hacking as well as conceptual processes on the issue of observation and perception of reality through a non-dual approach. He is the creator of the Wiimote but has never worked for Nintendo. He is also the manager of the CD label Erratum devoted to art, noise and experimental sound poetry which he started in 1993. He is the co-creator of the Phonon Lab at the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg dedicated to experimental sound art and free philosopy. His next book Art et Solipsisme should be published by the end of 2018.
