Archivist and paleographer, as head of the IT and editions department at Lafayette Anticipations foundation
Matthieu Bonicel is a former student of the École nationale des chartes. He was a curator at the Bibliothèque nationale de France during ten years and was responsible for the IT service and the digitization of the manuscripts department and then for the general management’s innovation department. His doctoral thesis at the université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne (in 2014) was dedicated to the links between medieval theatre archives and the web of data. He has led many research projects as well as promotion programmes around digital written heritage such as Europeana Regia or International Image Interoperapility Framework (IIIF). In 2017 he joined the Lafayette Anticipations foundation as head of the IT and editions department where he manages ReSource, a software development project intended to model, document and appreciate in real time the creation process in the field of contemporary art.
