Donatienne Michel-Dansac studied violin and piano. She holds a diploma from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and performs works from the repertoire, ranging from Baroque music to that of the 21st century under the baton of William Christie, Emilio Pomarico, Pierre Boulez, François-Xavier Roth, Sylvain Cambreling, Daniel Barenboim… In 1991, she met Georges Aperghis for the creation of Sextuor and became his performer in over 20 works. She has collaborated with IRCAM since 1993 and performed Le Marteau sans maître by Pierre Boulez on his 90th birthday. She has worked with artists and authors for musical forms and theater associated with their work, has performed in films and theater. In 2017, she created the production company À vive allure. Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, she received the Grand Prix in honorem from the Fondation Charles Cros for her career.
