Fernando Munizaga (b. 1986) studied the guitar and composition at the Catholic University of Chili. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in guitar, he continued studying composition at the University of Chili at a Master’s level. In 2016, he obtained his composition prize at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et danse de Paris (Cnsmdp), studying under Frédéric Durieux. In 2015-16, he took part in the Cursus program at IRCAM. From this point on, his work has been oriented towards the analysis of the intonation, phonetics, structure, and conceptual exploration of different poetic texts written in several languages and cultures, integrating these materials in his instrumental and electronic music research.
